Camargo Road Construction to Begin May 13th

The public improvements on Camargo Road are scheduled to begin on May 13, 2019. This $1.6 million project will include new storm water systems, curbs on the south side of the street and the replacement of the sidewalk between Miami and Shawnee Run. We are also adding a length of sidewalk to connect the Burman Woods neighborhood to Camargo/Shawnee Run. This will require an extension of the bridge culvert between Ridgestone Drive and Burman Woods.

The initial phase of the work will be the replacement of the storm water systems between Miami and Shawnee Run. In order to expedite this work, this section of Camargo will be closed to “through traffic” for approximately 2 weeks. Residents and businesses within this area will have access to your homes and properties; however, the point of access may change directions as the work progresses along the street. Please be patient as the contractor works to complete this critical part of the project.

For those few days that school will be in session at the beginning of the project, we will work with the school transportation staff to make certain that school buses are provided passage through the construction as efficiently as possible. There may be short delays as the contractor moves equipment and opens the route.

Thank you for your patience as crews work to improve the City's infrastructure!
