Garbage pickup for the City of Madeira is on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday depending on what portion of the city you live within. Please see the City Government/Solid Waste portion of the website for the specific day.

All building permits are processed with the City of Madeira. If you need to get an electrical permit, you would contact IBI. If you need to get a plumbing/health permit, you would contact the Hamilton County Health Department. If you need to get a water tap, you would contact either Indian Hill water or Cincinnati Water Works. If you need to get a sewer tap, you would contact Metropolitan Sewer District.

Most all of the houses in the City limits of Madeira are located in the Madeira City School District and also some in Indian Hill School District. There are a few streets that are located within the Cincinnati School District. Please check with the schools for the most accurate information.

Yes. The City of Madeira does have a leaf pick-up program. It generally runs from October to December of each year. All that we ask is that you rake your leaves to the curb (not in the street) and our Public Works Departmet will be around to pick them up. We do send a newsletter out each year that publishes what weeks we will be in each area of town.

Yes. The City of Madeira has a brush and limb pickup program that lasts about two weeks in April and September of each year. All that we ask is that you put your brush and limbs at the curb at 7:00 AM the day the program starts. The Public Works Department will be around to pick them up within that two week period.

Yes. The City of Madeira has a large item pickup program one time per year every June. This was designed to give everyone a chance to empty out those garages after the Madeiramart in May. This program allows a homeowner to place any number of items under 75 lbs at the curb and the city pays to haul it away.
