Madeira Auxiliary Police Officers
The Madeira Police Department has for years had a group of dedicated individuals who serve as auxiliary police officers. The auxiliary unit is led by Lieutenant Paul Phillips. The officers assist at special events such as 4th of July festivities and the annual street dance. These officers do not receive compensation for their services and the position of auxiliary officer is totally a voluntary one.

Those interested in being an auxiliary officer must be a State of Ohio certified police officer and they must pass a standard hiring process. The hiring process includes an application, background check, criminal history check, employment verifications, credit checks, and oral interviews. Please contact Lieutenant Phillips for further information and openings.

Applications for the auxiliary unit can be obtained in person at the Madeira Police Department . Applications for auxiliary will be kept on file for a period of six months. Do not include any other documents when returning your application. Applications must be dropped off at the police department in person.
